Rodzinie i przyjaciołom składamy wyrazy współczucia, a ś.p. Irenę polecamy miłosierdziu Bożemu. Wieczny odpoczynek racz jej dać, Panie!
Irena Furs, beloved wife of Frank Furs (deceased) and Jerzy Filip (deceased) of Calgary AB, passed away on Monday Oct 9, 2023 at the age of 91. Born in Biertowice Poland on October 5, 1932.
Irena came to Canada in 1987 to be with her son and daughter, Jerzy and Zofia. She worked for a local glass company making various glass charms and ornaments, for over 20 yrs. Irena was a free spirit, she loved dancing, socializing and playing cards with a glass of wine. She was an extraordinary woman that shared her time and heart with her friends and family regardless of the load. She took a pivotal role in the lives of not only her grandchildren but her great grandchildren, creating a strong role model to look up to. She will be greatly missed but her heart, strength and memory will live on in the countless lives she impacted in both Poland and Canada.
Irene is survived by her son, daughter and their spouses, Jerzy and Marta Filip, Zofia and Jozef Przeginiak; five grandchildren, Derek (Serafina), Beata, and Renata (Maamoun), Izabella (Jarrett) & Angelika (Robert), and great grandchildren, Ashley, Hailey, Amira, Omar, Darius, Maria, Serena, Yousef, Maya, Henryk, and Emiliana, her Nieces, Jola, Kasia, Zuzia and their children, Sylwek, Radek, Jarek, Kuba, Wojtek and Helena.
Irene is predeceased by her husband(s) Frank and Jerzy SR, her mother and father, Stefania and Wladyslaw and her brother Olek.
Irena will be forever remembered by her surviving relatives and friends for her enduring faith, courage and strength.
